Star Platforms once again retains Safehire and CHAS accreditations

Star Platforms has once again successfully retained both the Hire Association Europe Safehire and CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditations, following successful audits of three of Star Platforms’ sites.

The SafeHire Certification Scheme was launched in 2000 and has been developed with the guidance of safety and quality agencies, including the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). In 2010 SafeHire was endorsed by the British Standards Institute (BSi) as a Private Standard. Achieving Safehire Certification ensures Star Platforms:

  • Proves competence in safety, health, environment , and quality.
  • Meets client demands for high standards of service.
  • Demonstrates a well-trained workforce to support customers.

CHAS helps clients (buyers) and contractors (suppliers) ensure compliance across the different areas of risk management and mitigate risks across the supply chain. The accreditation scheme can help businesses achieve compliance, mitigate supply chain risks, and support efficient supply chain management. Both accreditations are registered members of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) which is the mutual recognition scheme for occupational health and safety standards particularly within construction. These accreditations reflect all the hard work each member of staff at Star Platforms puts in throughout the year in order to maintain the high standards that are expected from the company within the industry.

Del Patterson, QHSE Manager, Star Platforms said, “Thank you to all at Star Platforms who assisted in achieving these very important accreditations. They reflect all the hard work everybody puts in throughout the year in order to maintain the high standards of health and safety that are expected from Star Platforms. Well done to all”.
