Star Platforms Secures Key Industry Recognition Ahead of 2026

Powered access specialist Star Platforms has renewed a suite of key industry standards ahead of 2026, including their IPAF Rental+ and FORS Silver accreditations, its ISO management system accreditations, and its HAE SafeHire certification, following a rigorous series of independent audits. This combined achievement reinforces the business’s commitment to safe working practices, high-quality service, and responsible fleet and operational management across its network.

The audits assessed several areas of the business, including fleet operations, safety procedures, environmental performance and wider management processes.

Star Platforms continues to hold IPAF Rental+ certification for the forthcoming year, following a successful assessment carried out by IPAF. This year’s audit focused on the Midlands depot, which achieved an exceptional score. IPAF Rental+ provides assurance to customers throughout the MEWP hire process, confirming that Star Platforms meets rigorous health and safety, quality and environmental standards. As a mandatory accreditation for IPAF members, it requires annual recertification, with companies audited intensively to ensure they maintain industry-leading practices and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

The company has also been re-accredited to FORS Silver for 2026. The Silver standard demonstrates that Star Platforms meets exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection. It confirms compliance with the CLOCS Standard for Construction Logistics and TfL’s WRRR (Work Related Road Risk), enabling access to major sites and customers where FORS accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Achieving Silver follows successful Bronze audits across three locations, supported by ongoing improvements in driver development, vehicle safety, emissions monitoring and road risk management.

Star Platforms has additionally renewed its HAE SafeHire accreditation, confirming that its equipment, processes and customer service continue to meet stringent industry standards for safety, quality and staff competence. Assessed through an independent audit, SafeHire demonstrates to customers that the company upholds recognised best practice in equipment maintenance, training and overall service delivery.

In addition, Star Platforms remains certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. These internationally recognised standards confirm that robust quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems are embedded throughout the organisation, supported by a consistently high level of performance across all audited locations.

Del Patterson, QHSE Manager, said: “We are extremely proud to retain these accreditations. They reflect the standards our teams work to daily and the professionalism shown throughout the audits. From our depot operations through to our wider management systems, the focus is always on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.”

Star Platforms continues to invest in systems, training and depot development in support of its commitment to safe, efficient and customer-focused operations.
