Travelling from Manchester

If you’re travelling from Manchester, simply follow A519 to M56 in Wythenshawe. Continue on M56 to Appleton Thorn and take exit 9 from M56. On the next three roundabouts, take the first exits, this should lead you onto Cliff Ln, Grappenhall Ln, and finally, Barely Castle Ln. From here turn right into Lyncastle Road and you will have reached our depot.

Travelling from Liverpool

If you’re travelling from Liverpool, take M62 to junction 10, where you will merge onto M6 towards Birmingham. Follow M6 until you reach junction 20, where you’ll take the 4th exit on the roundabout onto Cliff Ln. On the next roundabout, you’ll take the 1st exit onto Grappenhall Ln. On the last roundabout, take the first exit, keeping you on Grappenhall Ln, which will turn into Barleycastle Ln. Turn right onto Lyncastle Ln. to reach our depot.

Travelling from Warrington

Take Knutsford Rd south of Warrington. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Grappenhall Ln. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit, following Grappenhall Ln. until it turns into Barleycastle Ln. Turn right into Lyncastle Ln. to reach our depot.

The nearest train station is the Warrington Bank Quay (WBQ).

From the station, walk 2 minutes to the Arpley Street bus stop (Stop ID: wrgawgjm) and take the 7 Cheshire Cat bus 28 stops to Appleton Hall.

Once off the bus, it’s a 16-minute walk to the depot:

Cross the street and walk northeast to Arpley Rd. Turn right onto Arpley Rd. until you reach Burley Ln. Follow Burley Ln. until you reach Lyncastle Rd. and turn right. Follow Lyncastle Rd until you reach the depot.

It is a 39-minute journey from the Warrington train station, so ensure you leave enough time on your journey.

IPAF Training in Warrington, Preston, Liverpool and Manchester

From our North West depot in Warrington, we are proud to offer IPAF accredited training courses. On completion of training, you can earn a Powered Access Licence (PAL) card – an internationally recognised accreditation.

An IPAF training course will include modules about safety, maintenance, and proper usage of MEWPs (Mobile elevating work platforms). Powered access training is recommended for anybody wishing to operate access equipment. Upon successful completion of an IPAF training course, the operator will be awarded an IPAF Pal card (IPAF powered access licence).

Depending on your training needs, certain courses may be required for different types of platform operators. There are various types of IPAF training courses that you may need to take in order to operate certain machines.
