Star Platforms Marks 10 Years of Employee Service with Awards Lunch
Last Updated: 9 January 2026
Star Platforms has celebrated a major milestone by hosting an awards lunch at its head office to recognise a number of employees who have each reached 10 years of service. The event came shortly before the company itself marked its 11th anniversary, making the occasion especially significant.
Those recognised were among the very first to join Star Platforms and have each played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success over the past decade.
Richard Miller, Joint Managing Director of Star Platforms, commented:
“It has been a privilege to work alongside colleagues who have dedicated 10 years to Star Platforms. We are incredibly thankful to each person for giving so much of their working life to the company. As the business has grown, these individuals have been instrumental in upholding our values and leading by example. Our loyal customer base is mirrored by our loyal team, and that makes all the difference.”
Joint Managing Director Steve Simmons added:
“This milestone is fantastic to celebrate. I am extremely proud of what we have achieved as a business and even more proud of the people who have made it possible. Their commitment over the last decade has helped shape the company and ensured we continue to deliver the highest levels of service to our customers.”
Sales Director Bryan Freeman also expressed his gratitude:
“Marking 10 years of service is a remarkable milestone and I want to thank our colleagues for their dedication. They are the backbone of the business, providing the strength and stability that has allowed us to grow and consistently deliver for our customers.”
Employees spoke during the lunch about the strong sense of support and camaraderie across the business. They shared their pride in being part of the company’s journey and in overcoming challenges together, including those posed by the COVID pandemic. Many also noted the positive changes seen over the years, highlighting how the business has grown while still retaining its friendly, family-like atmosphere. Above all, there was a shared appreciation for the leadership team and recognition of the achievements made possible through collective effort.

Ian Mitchell, Operations Director, reflected on the broader impact of the team’s contribution:
“Over the past decade, it has been incredible to see how the company and its people have developed. The growth of the business has gone hand in hand with colleagues supporting one another and building a strong, professional culture. When we look at how far we have come; from our head office, to the professionalism of the business, to the people themselves, it is a real achievement.”
The lunch was not only a chance to celebrate individual milestones, but also a reflection of the shared journey that has shaped Star Platforms into the professional and people-focused business it is today.
