Star Platforms has announced a £4 million investment in 381 new machines, further strengthening its position as a leading provider of powered access platforms across the UK.
This investment brings the company’s total fleet to more than 4,700 units, supporting its ongoing expansion across various sectors. This move reflects strong customer demand and Star Platforms’ commitment to supplying high-quality, sustainable equipment for safe and efficient working at height.
Focusing on environmentally conscious models, the latest fleet additions include electric and hybrid machines that offer low emissions, reduced noise, and excellent energy efficiency – aligning with both customer expectations and wider industry sustainability goals.
Included in the order is a broad selection of equipment from trusted manufacturers such as Niftylift, Dingli, and Power Tower. Known for their innovation and eco-friendly technology, Niftylift platforms are particularly popular with customers due to their performance, reliability, and suitability for low-emission and noise-sensitive environments.
“We selected machines that not only support our customers’ growing preference for environmentally friendly equipment, but also maintain the high standards of safety, reliability and versatility expected from our fleet,” said Steve Simmons, Joint Managing Director at Star Platforms.
These new units are now being deployed across Star Platforms’ national depot network to support projects in construction, facilities management, media, events, retail, warehousing and more.

We’re seeing consistent growth across our core sectors, and we remain committed to providing access to the most advanced and environmentally responsible machines in the market.
