Star Platforms continues expansion with new South West depot
UK powered access company, Star Platforms, has opened its sixth depot in Bridgwater, Somerset to meet customer demand.
This ongoing expansion has created new jobs within the company including the recruitment of access industry veteran Andy Pearson as the new Regional Director for the region.
Andy brings a wealth of experience previously holding the role of Managing Director/ owner at Prolift Access and prior to this he was Managing Director at AMP Access.
Speaking of his new appointment Andy said “I am delighted to be joining the team at Star Platforms, at this exciting time and look forward to being a part of the company’s expansion. I have worked closely with Richard Miller and Steve Simmons for a number of years within the industry and look forward to supporting them in this next exciting phase of Star Platforms’ journey.”
Joint Managing Director Richard Miller said: “We have a large demand from existing customers to supply equipment in the South West region and there was a significant gap in our coverage. We therefore took the decision to open this depot in Bridgwater which has excellent road links to Bristol, Devon, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, and Wiltshire. I am excited to be working with Andy again and am confident that with Andy’s expertise and leadership, the new Bridgwater depot will be a huge success.
Speaking of the new location Joint Managing Director Steve Simmons said. “Over the last few months our team have worked tirelessly to find a suitable location that was ideally situated to service the requirements of our customers. This new depot will extend our current coverage and allow us to better fulfil our customer needs.”

Travelling by car
Leave the M5 at Jct 24 and follow signs to Bridgwater. At the mini-roundabout turn right past the Westerly BMW garage, turn left at mini-roundabout into Marsh Lane go up over the bridge and Star Platforms is on the right-hand side (just before entering Colley Lane Industrial Estate)
