Meet the team – ‘Toni’ Massa Profile

Main responsibilities:

  • Managing the sales/hire desk team.
  • Mentoring and coaching the team regarding training requirements, setting objectives, analysing performance and reviewing.
  • Ensuring all aspects of a busy Hire Desk run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Qualifying and confirming customer machine requirements.
  • Recruiting new sales desk advisors.

How long have you been with the business?

  • I started working at Star Platforms in Aug 2022

What is your previous work experience?

  • I have worked in sales management and technical sales for over twenty years. Previously, I was a sales manager in the IT security sector based in the city. I also worked as the sales and marketing manager for a manufacturer of Warner Bros. and Disney merchandise before joining Star Platforms.

Challenges:

  • Making the hire team not only the best in the industry but the ones that customers want to go to because our levels of service are unparalleled.

The most enjoyable part of the role:

  • I am quite analytical, which is ideal for understanding the company’s challenges and offering solutions. I also enjoy working with the team to help customers find the right kit for their projects.

Hobbies:

  • Loves noodles (has tried every version of noodles)
  • Rugby (President of Hemel Hempstead (Camelot) RUFC) and golf ( but judging by my last game, this is more of a chore than a hobby!)
