#StarSpotting at the Home of Motor Racing
Last Updated: 21 November 2025
As Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg get ready to clash at the 71st British Grand Prix at the World famous Silverstone Circuit in Oxfordshire, it’s great to see who’s on hand to give them a lift.
This Niftylift HR 28 Hybrid is one of a number of machines providing safe access to operatives at the event. They’ve been used in the busy preparation period leading up to this weekend’s big events. Everything from erecting signage, maintenance tasks such as cleaning and even used for cameramen and video teams to capture some of the early action.

The Nifty HR28 is a 28m rough terrain boom with powerful 4WD and an outreach of up to 19m. As with all Niftylift booms in the Star Platforms fleet – it is fitted with the multi-award winning SiOPS safety system which eliminates sustained involuntary operation by instantly stopping machine movement if the operator is pushed onto the control console.
Thanks to Peter for sending these snaps in. If you’ve spot a Star Platforms access platform in action or at a famous venue – take a snap and send it in [email protected] – we’d love to see it, and share it.
