Star Platforms opens new Kent depot

Star Platforms has opened a new depot in Kent, moving from its old premises to a new 12,346ft2 facility in Tonbridge. The move comes following an increase in demand for powered access in the region, and the new location will not only mean an increase in the number of machines at the depot but also improved training facilities.

For the first time, Star Platforms will also share the depot with sister company Powertek, which will be based in an additional 3,498ft2 facility, meaning that customers can easily benefit from Powertek’s power generation products alongside powered access.

Richard Miller, Managing Director, Star Platforms commented: “The new depot in Kent has expanded our offering throughout the region, increasing the number of machines available from this depot and ensuring that our customers have access to Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) as and when they need it.”

“The move has also enabled us to upgrade our training facilities, meaning delegates will now have an improved training experience with us. Also, with both brands Powertek and Star Platforms operating out of the same location, this will give our customers access to our full product range dispatched from one depot across the South East of England and beyond.”

The new Star Platforms Kent depot is located in Tonbridge, with more accessible transport links, reducing delivery time and improving efficiency.
