Powered access hire company Star Platforms has continued its expansion strategy with the opening of a new Midlands depot – the third in less than a year.
The new hire depot in Coalville, Leicestershire, is ideally-placed to serve the East Midlands region, and has already created four new jobs.
Star Platforms opened its first depot in Luton, Bedfordshire, in October 2014, then its second, in August 2015 in Wrotham, Kent.
The Coalville depot is already busy serving a rapidly growing powered access hire customer base across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Birmingham and Coventry, Northamptonshire, and south Lincolnshire.
Joint Managing Director Richard Miller said: “Our aim is to combine the latest, most modern powered access machines with excellent customer service and support.
“Our success with this approach has allowed us to take advantage of the availability of a large and modern depot in a location that is perfectly placed to give our growing number of customers the best possible service.
“Our vision for providing excellent service tailored to customer needs, has helped us to recruit a strong team, with good experience in the powered access industry, and the focus on customer service we want.
“As members of the national hire group The Access Alliance we are also well placed to deliver platforms throughout the UK.”
Midlands General Manager Sam Christian said: “Our national customers will benefit from the additional coverage the Midlands depot offers.
“With our strong local connections we are also quickly building a regional customer base. We will continue to add brand new, market-leading machines to our fleet.
“All our boom lifts are fitted with secondary guarding as standard. We also have material handling attachments available for most of our fleet.
“As always, our focus is to continue providing a first class, dependable service to all who hire from us.”
Star Platforms is co-owned by Steve Simmons, Richard Miller and Bryan Freeman, all experienced veterans of the powered access industry.
It operates a fleet of scissors, booms and low-level equipment, tracked mounted booms and vehicle-mounted platforms up to 22m working height.
