Joint Managing Director Richard Miller with members of the Star Platforms Kent team
Powered access hire company Star Platforms is reacting to the UK’s continued economic recovery and strong customer demand by opening a new depot in Kent.
It is Star Platforms’ second depot since launching near Luton, Bedfordshire in October 2014 and creates four immediate jobs in the area.
The new hire depot in Borough Green, near Sevenoaks is ideally placed to serve London and the Home Counties, including Kent, Essex, East Sussex and Surrey.
Joint Managing Director Richard Miller said: “Demand for our hire service is strong so we are delighted to now provide our customers with coverage right across London and the South East via two depots either side of London. As members of the national hire group The Access Alliance we are also well placed to deliver platforms throughout the UK.”
Co-owner and Sales Director Bryan Freeman, who will closely oversee operations at the depot, said: “We have already added a number of brand new, market leading machines at the new Kent depot and have also invested in our own delivery vehicles with experienced, IPAF trained drivers. As always our focus is to continue providing a first class, dependable service to all who hire from us”.
Star Platforms is co-owned by Steve Simmons, Richard Miller and Bryan Freeman, all experienced veterans of the powered access industry, and operates a fleet of scissors, booms & low-level equipment up to 22m working height.
