Star Platforms WE RISE machine gives generously to four charities

In 2020, Star Platforms was awarded an SJ3219 DC scissor lift as part of the Skyjack WE RISE charitable recognition campaign. Star Platforms pledged all proceeds from the hire of the machine to charity, selecting several charities which resonate with the company to benefit.

Since July 2020, the WE RISE machine has been popular with clients, and Star Platforms is pleased to announce that the following charities will benefit from the money raised:

  • The Hospice of St Francis, which helps 2,000 local people and their families in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, received £500
  • CRASH, the UK construction industry charity, will receive £600
  • Emily’s Star, a charity that grants wishes to families who have a child or children with any life-limiting or life-threatening illness in Milton Keynes, will receive £600
  • The Alzheimer Society, Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. We campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today, will receive £600

Richard Miller, Managing Director at Star Platforms, commented: “Star Platforms has always supported charities close to our hearts, and so winning the WE RISE machine from Skyjack allowed us to support even more charities over the last two years. We are delighted that the machine has raised enough money for us to donate to four charities, and we hope to continue supporting more causes in the coming years.”

From 1st March, all income generated from the WE RISE machine will support the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.

Richard continued: “If you are in need of an SJ3219DC scissor, think of the WE RISE machine, where each hire will contribute to a good cause.”
