Star Platforms announced as the winner of the Skyjack ‘WE RISE’ charitable recognition campaign

Skyjack launched a ‘WE RISE campaign in July 2020 aimed at shedding light on the positive contributions the access industry made throughout the pandemic. Access companies were required to send in entries for the chance to win a brand new SJ3219 DC scissor lift!

We submitted three stories, including NHS, The Poppy Factory and The Romford Cemetery

The winner was announced virtually last Friday by the President of Skyjack, Ken McDougall, and we can confirm that Star Platforms has won for EMEA and Rest of World! This is an amazing achievement and testament to our teamwork and our culture.

Since we started the business, we have always tried to support charities or causes that resonate with us. This has been particularly important since the first lockdown as many charities have needed help more than ever. We’re thrilled and delighted to be awarded with this first-place prize. We’re very closely partnered with Skyjack, they’ve been a big supplier and a big part of Star Platforms’ success over the years. I think I speak for everyone here when I say we’re thrilled with this outcome.

We plan to hire out this prize of an SJ3219 DC scissor lift and all hire income generated will be donated to chosen charities within the local communities. We pleased to confirm the first charity to benefit from this will be The Hospice of St. Francis which helps 2,000 local people and their families, in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, to live their precious lives well through improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.

It’s donations like this that will enable us to continue offering the outstanding care to our patients and their families, both in the Hospice and out in the wider community in people’s homes.
