Star Platforms supports maintenance work at Dunstable Town Cricket Club

UK powered access company, Star Platforms, has supported Dunstable Town Cricket Club by providing a Skyjack SJ63AJ articulated boom lift, to help carry out essential maintenance on its Pavilion.

The maintenance was able to be carried out hassle-free, utilising the 63AJ’s up-and-over capabilities.

Ian Keogh, Chairman of Dunstable Town Cricket Club commented: “Star Platforms Skyjack boom was an ideal for us. The iconic Clock face at the apex of the Pavilion’s front elevation, which can be seen from all across our 15-acre ground, was always almost impossible for us to clean and maintain. The gutters, whilst less prominent, also needed essential maintenance. Star Platforms gave us a quick and efficient solution for carrying out the essential maintenance work both quickly and efficiently without scaffolding or ladders”

With a working height of 21.38m and 12.9m outreach, the diesel SJ63AJ is perfect for outdoor maintenance jobs, where the operator needs to go up-and-over an obstacle. The 227kg lifting capacity allows for up to two operators and their tools in the basket which makes it perfect for a range of outdoor maintenance jobs.

Ian Mitchell, Operations Director, Star Platforms commented: “Jobs such as these at Dunstable Town Cricket Club require a versatile machine like the Skyjack 63AJ. We are delighted to be able to support local sports clubs, and are looking forward to seeing our logo at the cricket club next season.”
