Star Platforms provides two Skyjack SJ46AJ articulated boom lifts to Tyringham Hall in Buckinghamshire

UK powered access rental company, Star Platforms, provided two Skyjack SJ46AJ articulated boom lifts to help with building maintenance and refurbishment to the Georgian mansion.

Built in 1797, Tyringham Hall is a beautiful example of a Grade I listed English stately home located in 60 acres of idyllic Buckinghamshire countryside. The Hall is home to four magnificently proportioned reception rooms, a kitchen, breakfast room and study on the ground floor, with a spa, games room, cinema and gym areas on the Lower Ground. There are 10 principal bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

The Skyjack SJ46 Articulated Jib (AJ) boom lifts provided the up and over capability required for the workers to reach the outside facias and windows on each floor as well as navigate the landscaping and period walls along the bottom of the property. With a working height of 21.21m and outreach of 8.38m, the maintenance team could reach up to the third-floor to complete refurbishment and maintenance tasks.

Both the operators were able to reach the facias and outside of the stately home to complete the required maintenance with the Skyjack SJ46AJ’s articulated boom and jib.

“We have worked with Star Platforms for a number of years and are always impressed with the machines they provide. Our maintenance team receive a familiarisation when the cherry pickers are dropped off and can complete their work quickly without risking damage to the building, which is essential with a Grade I listed property. The Skyjack 46AJ’s were perfect for the job”

The Skyjack diesel SJ46AJ also has the added benefit of being suitable for use on rough terrain, which was required to be fully drivable on the gravel around the building.

“We were only too happy to help the on this project and provide machines to such a stunning property. The Skyjack SJ46AJ was ideal for this task, providing them the height and outreach the job required but also being a diesel machine, was able to navigate around the grounds including over the gravel pathway without any issues”.
