Star Platforms lends a hand to Maidstone United

UK powered access company, Star Platforms, has supported Maidstone United Football Club with a Niftylift HR17N articulating boom to enable them to carry out high level upgrades in the football ground.

Maidstone United Football Club became the 2021- 2022 National League south champions last month following a 2-1 win over Hampton and Richmond Borough.

The Niftylift HR17N machine was used to upgrade the CCTV equipment around the football ground. In return Star Platform’s signage will be used around the pitch for future matches.

Simon Daniel, General Manager, at Maidstone United Football Club commented: “We needed a suitable platform at very short notice and one phone call to Star Platforms later the equipment was booked and delivered to site the following day. It enabled us to complete crucial remedial works to our CCTV system to allow us to complete the football season whilst satisfying our safety obligations.”

With a working height of 17m and 9.7m outreach, the [insert machine name] is perfect for installation tasks, where the operator needs to go up-and-over an obstacle. The 225kg lifting capacity allows for up to two operators and their tools in the basket which makes it perfect for a range of outdoor maintenance jobs.

Bryan Freeman, Sales Director at Star Platforms commented: “We are delighted to be able to support sports clubs close to our depots with powered access to help them maintain their grounds. Maidstone Football Club is close to our Kent depot and therefore we were delighted to see them become National League south champions in May. We are proud to have Star Platforms name displayed so prominently along the pitch.”
