This MEWP Spotter Training course is designed to equip delegates with the knowledge and awareness required to safely support powered access operations on-site.
Spotters play a critical role in maintaining safe working conditions by monitoring surroundings, assisting operators, and helping to prevent accidents involving Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), including scissor lifts and boom lifts.
Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a certificate confirming their competence as a MEWP Spotter.

You will learn how to safely perform the role of a MEWP Spotter, as the course covers:
Once you have completed the eLearning theory, you will be presented with a short assessment to evaluate your understanding of the course.
Upon passing this assessment, candidates are awarded their qualification which is valid for five years. The qualification can be stored, accessed and shared via ePAL.
A MEWP Spotter is a trained individual responsible for overseeing the safe movement and operation of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms on-site. They help identify hazards, guide operators, and ensure safe working distances are maintained.
No prior experience is required. This course is suitable for anyone who will be supporting MEWP operations, including ground workers, labourers, and site operatives.
It takes approxiately two and a half hours to complete the course.
