This IPAF accredited course instructs an operator on how to prepare and safely operate Mobile Vertical lifts (Scissor Lifts) and Mobile Booms (Cherry Pickers). Successful trainees receive a PAL (Powered Access Licence), a safety guide, a logbook and a certificate which is accessible via IPAF ePAL (a digital app that stores and shares your IPAF powered access licences and qualifications). The ePAL Card is issued by IPAF (the International Powered Access Federation) and is valid for 5 years. **If you prefer a physical card then please add this to your basket upon checkout (for a small fee)**

*For your safety, this is a Covid-secure course* To avoid classroom time and maintain social distancing our course is a mixture of eLearning and theory test in advance (approx.3 hours to complete), followed by a half-day session at our training centre for practical training and assessment.

PLEASE NOTE: The time and date shown for this course is for the practical session. The eLearning module will be distributed to delegates within 24 hours of booking (during office hours Mon-Fri). Delegates must complete and pass the eLearning theory & test before attending the practical session.

IPAF eLearning Module in advance of practical session

Delegates can complete the eLearning at their own pace and may save and resume at any time as they work through the manageable sections.

The course cleverly uses facial recognition to allow an online test without assistance from others. The device used therefore requires a webcam or front facing camera.

Course material is available in English (default), Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Practical Training & Assessment at Star Platforms Training Centres

Practical training, practice and assessment will take place at our training centre on the date/time shown above.

Delegates should bring the following safety equipment on the day of the practical training:

a) Standard PPE (safety boots, hi-vis vest, hard hat).

For category 3b training (boom/cherry picker) a harness with short adjustable lanyard is also required.
You may purchase our IPAF approved harness & lanyard kit at a discounted rate when you book training with us. There will be an option to add this when you visit your basket.

b) PPE to protect against COVID-19 (including gloves, eye protection and face mask). We would also suggest hand sanitiser although this will be provided along with any other PPE which we deem applicable.

**PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to share any PPE due to risk of coronavirus transmission.**
