Event Details

Please note: You are booking the eLearning theory element of an IPAF Operator course. The eLearning module is not date/time specific. Delegates may complete the eLearning in their own time, then contact us to arrange their practical training & assessment (further details below).

Following your booking the eLearning module will be distributed within 48 hours (during office hours Mon-Fri). Delegates must complete and pass the eLearning theory & test before attending the practical session.

MEWP operator eLearning does not replace practical training. Trainees who complete the online training course must then successfully complete a minimum half-day of practical training and testing at one of our training centres before qualifying for and being issued with a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) as proof of successful operator training.

About the IPAF Operator course

Our IPAF accredited operator course instructs an operator on how to prepare and safely operate Mobile Vertical lifts (Scissor Lifts, category 3a) and Mobile Booms (Cherry Pickers, category 3b).

Successful trainees receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), a safety guide, a logbook and a certificate. The PAL Card is issued by IPAF (the International Powered Access Federation) and is valid for 5 years.

MEWP Operator eLearning Module in advance of practical session (approx.3 hours to complete)

Following your booking the eLearning module will be distributed within 48 hours of booking (during office hours Mon-Fri).

Delegates can complete the eLearning at their own pace and may save and resume at any time as they work through the manageable sections.

The course cleverly uses facial recognition to allow an online test without assistance from others. The device used therefore requires a webcam or front facing camera.

Course material is available in English (default), Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

On Completion of your eLearning

Once you have completed and passed the eLearning module please check our availability online and/or call us on 0345 099 7305 to arrange your half-day practical training and assessment at one of our depots. (On-site practical sessions are also available for group bookings.)

The practical session must be carried out within 45 days following completion of the eLearning module.

The practical session will be charged at a fixed price of £150 vat.

Our all-inclusive price includes registration with IPAF, your photo ID PAL Card and postage of your PAL Card and IPAF Certificate via Royal Mail recorded delivery.

PAL cards and IPAF certificates will only be issued to delegates that pass both the eLearning theory module and the practical assessment.
